Lousy on iPad

Hi Ive been using your app on iPhone for a while now. When using it on iPad I totally lose the monthly vision. Totally lousy, all functionalities lost, how come?

Bad

Even though on the website a lot of diet plans are mentioned, no option exist other than taking a picture and providing a time and a note. Nothing else.

Using since last revision. Does all it promises. Still use daily.

Nice job with DietSnaps!

I have a really hard time remembering to write down and log what I eat, so this app is a great solution! Its easy to use and will help me make sure I dont forget to log what I eat. You can even email your meal pictures to your nutritionist or trainer.

Amazing Diet Tool!

dietSNAPS really does help make you accountable for what you put into your mouth. Much more effective than a diet journal. Best dieting tool yet!

Just what Ive been looking for!

I cant wait to start using this app. I hate writing down what I eat but know its the key to weight loss. Diet snaps is the perfect solution!!

Im thrilled that someone thought of this idea. As the other writers have said, a food journal is a key to dirt success, but I never have it with me. I always have my phone! I cant wait to start using dietSNAPS .

dietSNAPS is fanTASTIC!

Really enjoying it. At first was scared to see what it is I was actually eating, but keeping that fear in mind, Ive eaten better, and smaller throught the first couple of days of using it. I even stopped from snacking between meals because I didnt want to SEE it!

Crunchy

Im a pretty healthy eater, but I know Im a snacker. So I thought this would be a good way to be a little more accountable. So after a few days it was quite obvious that I was always reaching for something crunchy. Especially while at the computer, surfing, or watching tv. Diet Snaps is a great tool to make you a little more accountable for what we put in our bodies without really realizing it.

Great and works fast

So far since i have been using this app on a daily basis it seems to work quite well. Also compared to other similar apps in the app store this one loads very fast. The app does lag a little when viewing the Day but overall it has never crashed or had any problems. One improvement for the developer is to add a history list of items logged so that it is easier to reload commonly eaten items instead of always having to make each day from scratch. Keep up the improvements and i look forward to the updates. Royer

Great App!

Im using it to keep track of my blood sugars and my food intake. Works great! Love that I can do a late entry. Wish there was a change settings feature so that it would open into a today window instead of opening into the month window. Also wish I could change picture sizes to be about 1/5th as big. Other than that, its simple and perfect!

Functions as described

Great application. I would have given 5 stars is there was an option to enter and graph weight.

Great app

I started a serious weight loss program two months ago. Really did not want to log my intake. Too much work. Well dietsnaps makes it easy... Very easy!!! I have become addicted now to recording Strongly recommend it.

Great and easy concept, but crashes and lags

I like the simplicity of the app, but after 5-days of using it, I find its starting to (1) lag alot. Maybe cuz it retains so many pictures. (2) I also wish the emailed log has the same format as the app log. The emails logs are separated by text and pictures. App log text and pics are grouped together according to their respective times and meals. I need to manually edit all my email logs so the recipient can follow my journal. Also, (3) I tried to email logs by date range and it crashes every single time. Im hoping to get these things fixed cuz I really like this app for the ease. I hate the tediousness of logging my meals by nutrition and taking pictures is a great and easy way to give me, and my food journal buddy, a quick summary of what I ate.

Could be great.

Ive been using this for about a week, and find the basic idea to be great. I hope that the next version will fix some irritations, though: 1. Streamline data entry. The app should make an educated guess as to whether the food in front of me is breakfast, lunch or dinner based on the time of the snapshot.. How about a set of options to tell the app what time ranges correspond with ones typical meals? It should prepopulate the time value, as well, since the app is meant to be used right before you eat something. I should only have to manually enter a time if Im using a photo from the library. (Even then, the photos are time-stamped, right?) 2. Make the post to Facebook function work. Ive tried it a few times with no results. 3. Couldnt the photos be stored as a separate camera roll in the library? That would make them more accessible for other uses. 4. The export format needs much love in order to be useful.

Not bad.

A lot of potential, but needs work

This app is useful for its stated purpose as long as youre just viewing your food photos on the phone itself. As soon as you want to export your photos, perhaps to share with a nutritionist, youre pretty much out of luck -- the Export via Email feature results in output thats a jumbled mess, with photos separated from their associated titles, timestamps and notes. Would it be so hard to export the data in a somewhat coherent and readable format? Its also a bit of a pain to add entries, since instead of assuming that the current date/time should be used for the entry (and letting the user change it only when needed), the app always forces the user to input the time. Lastly, a small quibble compared to the glaring problems mentioned above: the app lacks a Favorites feature. Currently, the user has to re-photograph common food items for every entry. Common food photos can be selected from the phones camera roll, but this is a bit of a hassle. This could easily be a four or five-star app with a few of the changes mentioned above. Looking forward to the next update.

love it, but hate that the email separates the notes from the pictures

This is a great app and easy to use but I was super disappointed to see that when I email my diary the notes and the pictures are separated. Also, my pictures werent even in order. It makes it very difficult for someone to follow. Also Ive had some issues with the app crashing.

Simple and effective

Love the premise of this app. Very easy and it works!

Love it!!!

Dietsnaps rocks my world!!! I love the ease of the application and the huge impact it has had on my food choices. I love that I can email it to myself one day or a whole month at a time. If I ever forget my phone somewhere I find myself borrowing other people phones to take my food pictures. All thanks to dietsnaps!!!!
